Here is the third Christmas dessert for this year. Even though this time
of the year we mostly eat gingerbread cookies and saffron buns, I always have
to bake something with chocolate too. These cookies look pretty and require
barely any effort. They are crumbly, very intense in flavour, chocolate balls
covered in snow. Except, it is not snow but sweet powder which makes them that
much more yummy!
Ingredients for 15-20 cookies
140gr all purpose flour
135gr sugar
55gr cocoa powder
60gr unsalted butter soft at room temperature
1tsp baking powder
1/4tsp salt
2 eggs
1 vanilla pod
80gr powdered sugar
Process
In a bowl whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder.
In another bowl, using a electric mixer, mix butter and sugar then add the
vanilla and eggs and mix until smooth.
Add the dry ingredients and mix just until combined.
Place the dough in a bowl, cover with some aluminium foil and place in the fridge for at least 3 hours.

Preheat the oven to 180 C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Using a ice cream scoop, take equal amounts of dough and form balls. Coat
them in the powdered sugar and place them with some space in between on a
baking sheet.
Bake the cookies for 10-12minutes.
Enjoy!
