Eklekton tavern and inland scenery

For lunch we drove inland to Eklekton tavern.

It is a family owned restaurant serving traditional Greek food.

Garden was so beautiful, so dreamy! I took many pictures! :D

Food was proper homemade so it was hard to choose between the dishes they were serving that day.

We opted for Imam which is onion and tomato stuffed aubergine served with roast chicken. Both V and my sister still talk about it. It really was that good!

They were not serving desserts but were nice and offered us some fruit and fruit preserve.

This restaurant is just another reason to visit Karpathos-authentic, simple food in the most beautiful environment.

On the way back to the city, passing by endless olive tree fields.

And an old church…
