Soba nudles, Sky Tree and maid café

Early lunch in Asakusa. We went to Namiki Yabusoba and had the soba nudles which I absolutely loved! Very light dish, like most Japanese dishes.

On the way…

To the Sky Tree! You can tell Tokyo is a big city from the ground level but first from this height and perspective you realise how vast and packed it really is! What was also impressive was the elevator ride, I think it took us less than 30sec to come up to the 450m!

I would recommend coming here earlier in the day to get a clearer view. Later on there’s already too much smog in the air.

Back on the ground.

Next stop was Akihabara.

There was a lot of electronics, arcades, naughty toys…

Then we decided to go to the maid café which was a very(!) bizarre experience. I thought it will be just as any other café with a difference that the waitresses are dressed as maids. Girls working there were most probably underage and most of the people visiting are men and the interaction between them was just…weird. Yeah… it took me a couple of days to forget the whole thing.
