Where
to start?! I was in love with Italy before I visited the country for the first
time. And that is so unlike me.
When I first met my husband and most of my best friends I just wasn’t sure if we were for each other. Not that there was something I didn’t like about them, but I just needed more time to make sure I am making the right choice.
I
don’t remember the moment I fell in love with Italy but I remember the feeling
I had while listening to my parents telling stories about their honeymoon in
Venice. I was around 12 and I knew this is the place I want to go to.
A couple of years later I met my husband, we had a long-distance relationship for around 7 years, then I moved to Sweden and we got married.
So, as a wedding gift from my family we got a trip to Venice! That was our first honeymoon! We had two! :D
That was our first big trip. It was also my first time planning everything, places we were going to visit, restaurants…
And I fell in love with
the process, the planning, the anticipation…
This is probably ridiculous but true...Imagine planning, well more dreaming, to go to a place for 12 years…
We were traveling with a bus and after a very early morning stop at Trieste, we were getting closer, I could see the sea. Then I started smiling with tears in my eyes! It was such a special and exciting moment!
