Magical evening at villa Rufollo

Appon arrival we were greeted each with a lemon! Through a stone arch we stepped into the garden... what a venue it was! Building stone was glowing beautifully in the damp light of the lamps. Tree crowns were painting silhouettes on the dark blue sky above us, flowers were leading the way and then there was music.

Mozzarella in carrozza

Mozzarella in between two slices of bread. Carbs heaven! Btw I love italian serving dishes both clasical ones and these hand painted from the region. I think its so much fun to have on a table dishes in different colours and styles so I might buy some.

Villa Rufollo and villa Cimbrone

I loved spending time at these two villas and I wish I could have stayed there for a full day or two. Villa Cimbrone has a big garden. It is made of different sections and in each you feel detached from the rest of it, so peaceful. At villa Rufollo we were asked if we would like to come for a concert at the evening. I was very surprised that I missed  that information while I was planning this trip, being the control freak that I am! :D
