First day in Kyoto

So cute!

On the way to Kyoto.

These pictures are from the train so they are not the best. What I wanted to capture is how Japanese use every bit of land, most of which are rice fields. Amazing, right?!

Train ride took a few hours so all we had time to see that day was Nishi Honganji Temple. 

On the way to lunch/dinner.

        I was very much looking forward to trying Okonomiyaki. It’s a noodle and vegetable dish topped with a sauce. It looked amazing but it didn’t really taste more than noodles and vegetables. Or maybe ramen is just so good so that nothing else compares to it ;)
