Gloomy day in Kyoto

Morning at the peaceful Tofuku-ji temple. I really enjoyed the fact that we had to take off the shoes before entering the temples. For that short time while taking them of I would relax and come in more calm. Also, to feel the wooden floors or tatami underneeth the feet made me feel more present, instead of just going through another seightseeing spot.

Very often in Japan there was the "no photo" sign, which I've learned to ignore and live with. So inside of the Sanjusangendo hall was not suposed to be photographed and so here is the photo! :D

Gion serves traditional Kyoto sushi.

The sushi tasted a bit vinegary and was not served with soya sauce.

Again, the highlight was the broth, so light but full of flavour.
