Lunch with the family

I love cold winter days when the sky is clear and the sun is shining and this was one of those days! We decided to have lunch out and chose Kalemegdanska terasa. This restaurant is in a beautiful spot, in the middle of the huge park looking over the river. Light was perfect for taking pictures, not that I need much persuasion, and so I took a couple, which now are amongst my favourite family photos.

Chestnuts are not that popular in Scandinavia so every winter I long for some chestnutpyre with cream. How they serve it here it both tastes and looks beautiful!

Beauty, charm and history

Old part of the city is where I like to take a walk. Strange maybe but I prefer fasades looking old...there is a lot of details and versitality! When I think about it I never really photographed Belgrade, not in the way I photograph cities/places we visit anyway, so I look forward to it next time!

Tri sesira

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Belgrade. Food is traditional, unpretentious and delicious, the interior and ambient is old serbish style-cosy and relaxing. It’s not on their meny but you should ask for pancakes in wine chateau-crunchy wallnuts and fluffy wine/egg sause between layers of freshly made pancakes.
